I am a nerdy and opinionated person, and as such I have a tendency to go on about things I love and things I despise. That being the case, I have a website/blog where I can post information and music of Mozart and other classical composers, the absolute passion of my life; and a website/blog where I can vent, rage and rant about things that piss me off or simply get me thinking! On the latter, there’s only so much my fiancée or my mother can tolerate listening to the evils of patriarchy. Hahaha.

Since I was six to seven years old, I have been obsessed about Mozart and classical music in general. And I do not use the word obsessed lightly. As any childhood friend, teacher or family member can attest, he was all I could think, read or talk about. I was reading books at the age of eight, compendiums that were intended for people three or more times my age. I gobbled up anything Mozart. I loved the Man and his Music. I still do.

It’s awesome you found your obsession at such a young age. I still don’t even know what a compendium is. *goes to the dictionary*. but tell me, why do you like mozart so much? is it cuz he’s a hottie? or maybe his laugh? dood, wasn’t he an atheist?

Mozart was a total babe. Well, not actually. I just have very weird and eclectic taste in men (and yes, Karl is part of that category!)
You wanna know how I got into Mozart? When I was six years old, my sister took me to the Wherehouse (I even remember the exact store) and told me to pick a tape of my choosing. Ofcourse, my sister and my peers were all into the rage of 80’s rock and rap music. For some reason though, I wasn’t. I saw a tape with a picture of Mozart on it and said I wanted it. I thought he was cute and I wanted to listen to the music. My sister just gave me this look and told me Mozart was worm food. Couldn’t I listen to someone a little more contemporary? No, dag nabbit. I want Mozart and Mozart I shall have. So that’s how I got into Mozart. True story.
Also, Mozart was Catholic, but certainly didn’t act it! He was Catholic in name and followed all the respective rituals/traditions of the time, but boy, how he liked to flout his religion and get his rocks off with hookers!! (Not to mention the millions of other men who do so from various world relgions!) I think Mozart, though, was distrustful of religious clergy, and was a Mason. He was really into Enlightenment ideals and believed some pretty cool, progressive stuff for the time. For instance, he believed strongly in sanitation and hygienic practices at a time that did not practice it - which is the reason he was buried in an unmarked grave. Don’t believe Amadeus, he was buried in an unmarked mass grave not because he died a pauper, but because he wanted to follow better hygiene practices concerning the dead than were practiced at the time. He also showed the world, in his opera, The Magic Flute, how interesting and even silly a lot of the beliefs and symbolism of the Masons were. Unfortunately, the Masons did NOT appreciate this! They liked to keep their beliefs and rituals secret.
Aaaahhh, so much to say about my Motzie. Gotta go, or I’ll be here all night.
